Kurt Leininger, is a 58-year-old father who is ill and needs our help. A liver transplant is his only hope for survival after two years of sickness due to Hepatitis C. Medication has rid his body of Hepatitis C but he will need a liver transplant to survive. Kurt, who is one of the kindest people, with a very strong faith in God, needs our help because the cost of a transplant is overwhelming.
Kurt grew up in Riverton, WY and graduated from Riverton High School. He has lived in Colorado, New Mexico, and more recently in Montana where he worked for Dakota Deadman, a pipe testing business servicing the oil and gas industry. However, due to his illness, he has not worked for over 6 months, and has a long road ahead of him where he will not be able to work. He is a dedicated father of three beautiful children, Derek, Dane and Danielle, and he is very close to his 6 siblings, parents and extended family of many cousins, nieces, nephews and others.

Together, Kurt and his family are committed to seeing him through this transplant. In addition, two of Kurt’s family members have come forward to be potential living donors, which is an amazing gift to Kurt.

Thanks to all who donated. We have raised over $5000 currently.

Kurt had to get some oral surgery completed to move forward with the transplant process. That is completed and that work was not covered by insurance, so we have used the funds raised to date for that work.

Kurt is doing and feeling well currently as he awaits a matching liver. Keep him in your prayers.

Good news. After a bit of a delay, Kurt has been placed on the transplant list. It took a little longer than we had hoped due to some apparent "emergency" listings the staff at U. of Utah Hospital had to deal with, but he got the call late last week.

This is a long process. Living donor possibilities will be evaluated in the next few months.

Keep sending thoughts and prayers and encouragement to Kurt.
