Frederick Douglas has struggled with diabetes for the past 23 years. This disease has taken a toll on his kidneys. He is presently awaiting a double transplant; kidney and pancreas. Both transplant and post-surgery care will be costly.
Fred is a product of Killeen High School and HBCU, Paul Quinn College. He is an auditor for the State of Texas. He is an avid Dallas Cowboys and University of Alabama fan. Fred looks forward to being energetic and active after his transplant.
Family and friends of Frederick Douglas are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Frederick has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility to the full extent allowed by law for donors. Donors can be sure that funds donated will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
