Jess has received the “Gift of Life”
Dear Friends and Family,
We have great news to share with you! On December 15th Jess received a life-saving lung transplant. We are so excited for her.
Jess is a 29-year-old woman who has unending perseverance. Despite lifelong health issues, she is a source of strength for those around her. Jess’ friends and family often rely on her grace, wisdom, and toughness when faced with challenges of their own.
Jess was diagnosed at birth with Cystic Fibrosis. The disease caused a progressive deterioration in her health. Jess has endured a life requiring oxygen, numerous medications and frequent hospitalizations. Now she is looking forward to living her life free of oxygen, spending time with family and friends, returning to work and doing many of the things she has been unable to do for so long.
Not only is a transplant major surgery, it is also very expensive. Funding this transplant is a monumental task – a challenge we cannot meet without your support. Jess will still have many doctor and hospital visits and will be on a life-time of anti-rejection medications. This is where your help is needed.
To help ease this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Jess’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Northeast Lung Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider making a tax deductible contribution today.Together we can make a difference. On behalf of Jess and our entire family we thank you for your generosity, kindness, and good wishes.
