In 2014, Katie Ortiz was shot in the head and left for dead. She fought hard to stay alive for her kids and has been fighting ever since. Katie was left paralyzed and has been working hard to regain function.
Katie is fundraising for Bioness therapy equipment which will help her regain hand movement and function. Back in 2014, the community came together to help provide for Katie and her kids when she couldn’t. Now you can rally again to help Katie get the occupational therapy equipment she needs and provide her the chance to get stronger and become more functional and give back to the community.
Katie wants to speak out and bring awareness to her community about domestic violence. She wants to find employment and participate in everyday life with more confidence and strength for herself and her kids. Your donation can help her achieve this.
Family and friends of Katie Ortiz are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with Catastrophic Injury.
Katie has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for donors. Donors can be sure that funds donated will be used only to pay or reimburse medically related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Donate Now button.
