Mel Needs Our Help!

Mel Abel is an “all star” on and off the field. He grew up in Stroudsburg, PA, graduated from Stroudsburg High School and participated in football, basketball and track and was awarded a plaque on the hall of fame there. He also played football all four years while attending Lock Haven University graduating with a physical education degree.

On July 9th, 2013, Mel was diagnosed with kidney failure and went on dialysis. In spite of this, he strives to stay 100% active. Even though he goes for treatment 3 time a week he has maintained a regular exercise routine by jogging, hiking or walking at least 3 times a week. Mel would like others to know that you can still remain active and stay in shape with a disability. He also enjoys meeting up with his friends for their weekly Wednesday breakfasts.

Dear Mel,

I\'m praying for you and I\'ll always remember the great times we had a Lock Haven so many years ago. You, tank, Gary and myself. I pray you get a match soon. Many blessings to my dear friend! God bless.
