Dear Family and Friends,

We are writing to ask for your prayers and support. Our health journey started over 20 years ago when at the age of 41, Ray had a massive heart attack. Fortunately, with careful monitoring of medications, Ray maintained his health. However, in May 2010, Ray had another heart attack and was told that he would need a heart transplant in order to survive.

I think I am finally making progress towards better health. The last few months have been difficult, but bearable. I ended up in the hospital for a few days every week for the last 8 weeks. I got to spend New Years Eve AND then a few weeks later, my birthday in the hospital. Great way to start the new year!

On December 18, 2016. I had the kidney transplant! Everything is going well. I’m feeling good, a little sore but that is to be expected. Thank you to everyone for your best wishes, visits and donations. Now the fun begins!
