Alvin ” Rambo ” Allen is a 66 year old Vietnam era Veteran. He earned his nick name “Sergeant Rambo” for being a soldier’s soldier. He once carried a man 15 miles on his back so that no one would be left behind. Here at home, he lives by the same creed that no one is left behind. He is known as the “Cake Man” because of his love of baking homemade cakes as his way of saying thank you. If one person in the office has helped him, he will bake cake for the whole office again so that no one is left out. He is a loving, kind, and generous person.
In February of 2015. Alvin became a dialysis patent due to stage 4 renal failure. Since starting dialysis, he has had many unsuccessful operations to gain assess to his blood vessels for hemo dialysis. He now has a graph through which he receives dialysis 3 days a week.
This causes him pain, weakness and the inability to do the things he loves to do. Alvin needs a kidney transplant.
We, his family and friends are asking you to join with us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live in Alvin’s honor, to help with expenses pre and post transplant. Insurance does not cover all expenses and we need to be near the hospital before and after his transplant. We need funds for temporary lodging, transportation, medications, home care and other uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Donations to Help Hope Live in Alvin’s honor, will help ease the financial burden of the transplant and allow Alvin to focus on a healthy recovery and serving the community he loves.
Alvin has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the GIVE button. And please consider sharing this link with others so they may donate as well.
Thank you for your prayers, support, and generosity.
