Scott has suffered from a lifelong battle with heart disease and desperately needs a transplant to survive as he is nearing heart failure. In addition, his liver is now failing and it has come to a critical point. Scott’s heart is functioning at only 25% and he needs your help.
Scott is the proud father of an 8-year-old daughter, Melina, and devoted husband to his wife Elisa. He has always been active despite his limiting chronic heart condition. Although he faces many challenges, Scott does his best to remain positive and productive at work and home.
While Scott has health insurance, many transplant expenses are not covered by his insurance. The anti-rejection medications he will be required to take, which are anticipated to cost about 30-50,000 for the first year alone, are not covered by his insurance. This is just an example of one of the many financial burdens Scott will face.
Family and friends of Scott Stitcher are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with his transplant. Donations to Help Hope Live can ease the financial burden of a transplant and allow Scott to focus on a healthy recovery and a long life ahead with his wife and daughter.
Make a donation right now by visiting helphopelive.org and searching for Scott Stitcher or by calling 800.642.8399. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, and all funds raised will be used to offset medical expenses as part of the Help Hope Live Mid-Atlantic Transplant Fund.
