Dear Family and Friends,

Happy Holidays to you all! I wish everyone a wonderful winter.

As many of you already know, I have recently had a major upheaval in my life. I had a bowel obstruction that burst and caused me to have my whole small intestine removed. I was hospitalized for nearly two months and underwent four surgeries to save my life. It was touch and go for a few weeks. The doctors told my family on numerous occasions that it was a miracle I survived. I am much recovered now. I know that I am only here by the grace of God and through all the prayers in my name. I probably will be out of work until the transplant can be performed and then at least two more months after the surgery itself. The surgery alone costs around $300,000. My insurance covers a lot of my medical expenses, but there are travel expenses back and forth to Washington DC, as well as lifelong medications after the transplant. We do not have the financial capability to do this on our own.

HI everyone! I am doing well, but still on track for the transplant. I am working now, while I wait. We will still have to be out of work for nearly 4 months while recovering in DC. We appreciate all your prayers and support
