Hi my name is Lisa Villar and I am a 25 year old living with cystic fibrosis. In 2008 I received a lung transplant which changed my life forever. I had a new lease on life and for the first time I could breathe easy. After 9 years of being able to live a normal life unfortunately my health has deteriorated and my lungs are rejecting. I recently received a 2nd breath of fresh air with another bi-lateral lung transplant at Temple University hospital in Philadelphia. This journey will be extremely costly. Your generosity would be greatly appreciated to ease the strain of expenses. Thank you for helping my family during our time of need. Family and friends of Lisa Villar are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Lisa has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

Thank you for keeping tabs on Lisa’s progress. Lisa currently remains in the CICU after bi-lateral lung transplant two weeks ago. Her progress is very slow but nevertheless progress. Lisa remains on support via ventilator but spontaneous breathing is in progress to help build her breathing muscles. Lisa was able to walk down the hall with very little help as the medical staff clapped and cheered her on. Lisa’s strength, determination and persistence for life will help her overcome any battles/obstacles she faces.
