Family and friends of Terrie Milligan are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with Terrie’s Lung Transplant.
Terrie began getting sick in her 30’s and was diagnosed in her 30s. In her 40s, it effected her ability to work and function she was diagnosed with end stage lung disease.
Terrie has been listed for transplant with USC Keck since January 9, 2017 and moved her listing to our local hospital to Ceders Sinai in Beverly Hills . She now needs to spread out and was listed for the lung transplant list at Stanford in Northern California on May 10. Terrie needs your help to cover costs associated with having a transplant there that aren’t covered by insurance such as travel and housing during testing every two months, for Terrie’s family to be there during the time Terrie is in the hospital during and after transplant. She could be in the hospital after transplant for 2 weeks to 4 months depending on how things go. She and Mike will need to relocate to northern California for a minimum of three months post transplant, after being released. This is going to have to be an ongoing campaign, so be sure to check back to see the new things we will be doing. Thank you so much.
Terrie asks two things, if you can donate to her campaign, even a dollar counts! Secondly, if you will please post this on your Facebook and Twitter and ask your friends to do the same, we will be eternally grateful. Please share and help us spread this message.
Terrie wants to live.

Thank you for your support!
I received my perfect match on May 23, 2020. I feel so grateful and blessed. It's amazing to see my oxygen go up while walking rather than tanking. These lungs are amazing
The team at St. Joseph's was able to reactivate everyone, so the wait begins again.
As the world struggles and quarantines due to COVID, St Joseph's has temporarily put us on hold. So, I am being quarantined in my room and protected by family. I read, and draw. I try not to watch tv. It frightens me. Hahaha. I'm patiently waiting for Amazon to send me my materials to make masks. I've given all my masks away to people who have to go out. So, I'm going to make masks for friends and family. I believe I have a brilliant idea for masks using medical grade filters among other things that I will keep to myself for now so I don't suddenly have a run on materials.
I can sew in my room, isolating faithfully. The hospital increased my oxygen intake to 8 liters. When we all go active on the list again, I will be due for PFTs. I am eager to see how much lung function I have. I know it can't be good, but it may raise me on the list. I hope you all stay well. Love Terrie aka Ladybird
Terrie was listed for a double lung transplant at St. Joseph's Hospital on August 9, 2019. She has high PRA antigens (91%)., so even here it may be a year or more before Terrie finds her perfect match.
Terrie's health has progressed suddenly so Terrie and her family has left California, their home and business, to move to Phoenix, Arizona in the hope of getting listed at St Joseph's Hospital where she will have a greater opportunity to get an organ. As of June 17, 2019 she has been in evaluation testing in Phoenix.
Terrie's condition has worsened with 18% lung function. We have moved to Phoenix Arizona to be evaluated at St. Joseph's hospital.
Terrie has a lower lobe collapsed lung. Her lung allocation score has been raised to 33.85.
Today Terrie was told by Ceder Sinai that she will be listed there as well as Stanford. She will unfortunately end her listing with Keck.
On 7/30/2018 Mike, Terrie, and the kids went to Ceder Sinai to do the meet and greet part of the evaluation. I believe that they will list me soon. I need to do a few tests for them first.
I'm really happy with the whole thing.

So glad this page is up. I know You have struggled just to stay alive yet you are very uncomfortable asking for financial help.
Let’s make Terrie NOT have to ask. Let’s just offer.
