My wife, Ruth, began having health complications in 2011 when she was diagnosed with stage four renal failure. It was at that time that her doctor discovered the full extent of her condition. Ruth’s kidneys were irreversibly damaged and only functioning at 25%. Since being diagnosed, Ruth has undergone regular monitoring and in December of 2017 she was told she would need a kidney transplant. Ruth’s kidney function is now at less than 20% and she needs your help so that she will be able to receive the lifesaving kidney transplant she so desperately needs. Transplants are lifesaving, but very expensive and Ruth cannot do it alone. We’re asking family and friends to join us in fundraising.
Funding this procedure is a monumental task, as there will be many medical expenses not covered by Medicare or insurance: co-pays and deductibles, medications (such as anti-rejection medications that she will be required to take for the rest of her life), lab fees and clinic visits are just a few of the expenses that my wife will encounter. The anti-rejection drugs alone are over $5,000 per month! Ruth’s travel expenses and the cost of travel and lodging for the donor are adding up to more than our family can handle alone.
Ruth is an RN and has been providing loving medical care to others throughout her entire adult life. After many years of helping others, Ruth is now the one who needs our help. She is currently undergoing evaluation for kidney transplant and is aggressively looking for a donor. I have volunteered to donate but was not a match, so she is actively looking for volunteers.
Thanks for your love and support. We are very appreciative and humbly grateful for everything.
Blessings,
Chuck Treadway (Ruth’s husband)

All of you are in our prayers. Neither of us would be donor candidates (wrong blood type for me, various health issues for Mike), but we\'ll mail our check tomorrow.
