My son, Stephen, is an extremely bright, caring, funny and determined young man. He was born with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy and has been through a lot in life with numerous surgeries and hospitalizations and yet still faces many challenges ahead. Stephen goes to school part time and enjoys computers and hopes to be a computer programmer one day and become a video game designer.

However, in October 2017, Stephen suffered renal failure and now must undergo dialysis daily which is a 9-hour process and at times can be painful. Renal failure makes Stephen feel tired and weak. He has diet restrictions that include pizza, coke, macaroni and cheese, French fries and ice cream. All the things kids (and adults) love to eat! Stephen has many challenges with this underlying diagnosis but adding kidney failure has added a whole new level of struggles and setbacks.

I wanted to thank everyone for your contributions! Do not get discouraged that your donation hasn’t shown up yet. They tell me that it takes a few days for it to show up depending on how the donation was made and that updates are made on Mondays and Wednesdays! Again, thank you so much for your support! We appreciate all of the prayers and encouragement!
