My husband, Pastor James E. Thomas, was diagnosed with HCC cancer (Hepatocellular Carcinoma) liver cancer in March 2014. He had surgery in December 2015 and the cancer was removed. Due to the type of cancer (HCC) it returned in July 2018. More surgery and chemo is not an option due to the damage of the liver.
My husband plays a positive role in all of those whom have met him and is the backbone of faith in our family and church family as well. His gift of love and compassion for others is a day to day natural act that exemplifies his character and the nature of my husband for 34 years.
I am asking for support due to our financial inability to cover all costs of housing close to Duke University Hospital: a stay that is needed after surgery for one month due to follow up treatments to monitor and administer to his needs while determining compatibility of the liver transplant.
Your support can help James continue his faith walk and give others a chance to receive the same gift he has been (without hesitation) daily in his drive for helping others as he has been called to do! Being without my husband will affect many who know him and is a disservice to those who are yet to embrace his love of caring!
Thank you so much for your help,
Mrs. Robin Thomas
