Hi there,
I am asking for your help to raise $11,867 more so that I can drive my own handicapped accessible van. I graduate in the spring of 2022. My last semester at Fresno Pacific University, where I will graduate with my bachelor degree in social work. I want to work with teenagers who will be exiting the system, I want to help them find what their passion are, find them housing and job, so they will succeed. I was supposed to graduate in December of 2021 with my cohort but I had a health issue that I had to regain my strength through OT and PT.
If you can help me reach my goal in anyway like donating an item to be raffled, start a Facebook Fundraiser, make a donation or just help by telling others about my story would be greatly appreciated.

September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. As you may know, 27 years ago, an accident changed my life. Since that spinal cord injury, I have been living life with paralysis. But although I have experienced many TRAGEDIES in life, it also opened many BLESSINGS that I would have ever dreamed of.
Some of my adventures have included swimming with dolphins, traveling, horseback riding, dancing in my wheelchair, and many more. But my current dream is a little different… I want to graduate from Fresno Pacific University with my bachelor degree in social work and drive my own handicapped accessible van.
You can be a part of my quest for independence, education, and mobility!!
I am partnered with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit called Help Hope Live (@helphopeliveorg). They verify my medical condition and manage all funds raised in my honor. Donations are tax deductible, responsibly managed, and cover only medical and related costs.
I am just $11,867 away from reaching my fundraising goal for an accessible van!!!

On Giving Tuesday, we raised $300 of $200. Thank you to all who supported me. It takes a strong community to make a fundraiser successful. My cousin Stephanie raised $505 of $500!!! You all have helped me beyond my wildest dreams. You helped bring HOPE that we are getting closer to driving a accessible van that I can drive and achieving more independence.

Thank you for joining us on the Giving Tuesday. Today is a day to celebrate kindness and to share it with others in need of person-centered giving approach. I am raising money for a accessible van that I can drive from my wheelchair. It will give me more independence to get to my doctor appointments, church, school, internship or to hang out with friends. In 2021, I will be graduating with my degree in social work, I want to give back to my community just like they supported me.

I have been feeling very confined with anxiety and I these past few days. Because of COVID-19 i have been in quarantined since March. I have a weak immune system so any virus can greatly affect me. The fast spread of this virus, leaves me anxious of uncertainty. What keeps me going is my faith in God to bring us through this. I am such a social person, I want to go to the store or give my loved ones a big bear hug but I can't. I send many prayers to those who lost loved ones. It has taken many lives. We will get through this soon.

Hello there,
Hope you all are having a fantastic holiday. I want to thank you for all your support in making this dream possible, of a handicap accessible van. We are so close to our goal. As you can see on my Help Hope Live page that we have raised $6,086 and on my Facebook page fundraiser we raised $265!! I am glad to be apart of a Community who share my dreams. That is a total of $6,350.
When I started fundraising with Help Hope Live I made a timeline for raising money for a handicap accessible van. In October we were able to hit our mark of raising $6,000. Instead we raised 6,025. Wow right? I hope to hit our mark by December 31st. We just need to raise $17,550 more.
Christmas time ANYTHING is possible and miracles can happen. Will you please help me reach our goal?

Day 2: I have never let my circumstances limit my dreams and my accomplishments are more precious. I believe that life is a gift from God, he had a plan for my life and somehow the car accident turned into a blessing. See before, I was not a US Citizen, my parents were poor, we lived in a little trailer in someone's yard, we worked in the fields during hot, cold and rainy conditions. What seemed to have been a disaster, it brought me a loving family who was always there for me, a unconventional love of God who never gave up on me and connected to people who love and care about me. So, with faith comes blessings. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Philippians 4:13.
