In February 2008, she underwent a comprehensive evaluation and was deemed an excellent candidate for this procedure at Northwestern University School of Medicine, division of immunotherapy, Chicago, Illinois. Because of the extraordinary expense of transplantation, funding this life-saving operation is a monumental task.
To help offset Barbara’s uninsured costs, family and friends have started a fund raising campaign through HelpHOPELive. HelpHOPELive is a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly thirty years. All contributions are administered by HelpHOPELive exclusively for uninsured transplant-related expenses. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Won’t you please help Barbara?
