Teri suffered a catastrophic traumatic brain injury from a car accident in June 2005. She was diagnosed with a second traumatic brain injury in October 2014 from a blow to her head from hitting a tree.
It’s both common and unfortunate for the damage to be more severe after a repetitive TBI. Many of the previously reduced symptoms can reappear, often with greater magnitude, alongside a range of new symptoms. This has been the case for Teri which has been even more disabling.
