On May 2, 2006 Brianne was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease. This disease causes jelly-filled cysts to grow all over the body and eventually destroys the kidneys.
Unforeseen complications from the disease led to several tests, procedures, surgeries and hospitalizations. Brianne is now in end-stage renal failure and travels to and from dialysis three days a week, where she spends four hours each day in treatment.
On May 22, 2013 Brianne received the gift of a life, a kidney at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington.
To help offset some of these uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in Brianne’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive. HelpHOPELive is a non-profit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years years. All donations are tax-deductible and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Thank you in advance for your support and consideration.
