Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you may know, Antonio suffers from end-stage renal disease. For the past four years he has been on dialysis three days a week — four hours a day. The doctors at Baylor University Medical Center have told him that he is need of a life-saving kidney transplant. Antonio is unable to work due to his illness and looks forward to the day that he has his transplant and can return to work.
Antonio has completed his medical evaluations at Baylor Hospital. Even with insurance, there will be many uninsured transplant-related expenses, such as: co-pays and deductibles, transportation to and from the transplant center and the costly immunosuppressant medications that he will have to take for the rest of his life. In order to be placed on the active transplant list he must first raise $20,000. This places a financial burden on Antonio — one that he cannot meet alone. He needs your help.
In order ease the financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Antonio’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Central Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. If you wish to help Antonio, then please consider making a contribution. At times like this, the assistance of family, friends and the support of the community is crucial to help ensure a positive outcome. Together we can make a difference.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
