What you may not know is that over the years Teresa’s health has deteriorated. After numerous hospital visits and surgeries, Teresa was diagnosed with end stage COPD. This disease has caused life-threatening damage to her lungs. She is on oxygen 24 hours a day and we have been told by her doctors at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation that her only option is a life-saving lung transplant.
Not only is a transplant major surgery, it is also very expensive. Before Teresa is placed on the waiting list for a lung transplant, she has to come up with at least $6500. In addition, there will be many other expenses that are not covered by insurance and must be paid for out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles and pre and post – transplant evaluations. In addition Teresa will need to relocate to be near the hospital for at least 3 months following the surgery. She will also need to have a caregiver living with her during that time. As you can imagine, not many families have the resources to meet these overwhelming financial obligations. This is where your help is desperately needed.
In order to ease the financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Teresa’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All donations are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Great Lakes Lung Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. If you wish to help Theresa, then please consider making a contribution. At times like this, the help of friends, family and a compassionate community is greatly needed and appreciated to make Teresa’s story have a successful and happy outcome.
Sincerely,
Pam Motil

Many of you may wonder why Teresa is with THOR. There were several other super heros at Cleveland Clinic that day and 2 pictures were taken by me on Teresa's phone. The one with everyone did not turn out. THOR graciously
posed again with Teresa. The Superheros filmed some of The Avengers movie in Cleveland. I guess these guys were promoting the movie. I hadn,t heard of the movie, but I thought Teresa's grandkids would love seeing Granny with all the Superheros.
The title that is suppose to read,"Even Superheros need help sometimes. Now that I know about the movie I wish even more that the other picture had turned out. Teresa said THOR whispered in her ear!!!! Love ya Teresa

Watch out for that super hero. They like to fly a lot. He might pick you up and zoom away. Give him a tip to stop off here in Tennessee. Once this is over, we have another trip to take. Love you, Gal. You are forever the best. Hang in there, Darling.
