Timothy (Doc) Davis had his first dialysis treatment in 2012. Today we are at a pivotal point in his health journey. We are asking family, friends, and community to join us in fundraising with the nonprofit Help Hope Live to ensure the significant expenses immediately following surgery can be covered.
Doc has been a friend, neighbor, and a positive (and productive) member of his community, even through his illness. He has not allowed his health journey to affect his positive attitude, but rather allowed it to strengthen his relationships with his daughter, family, and friends. Doc has pushed through his diabetes, as well as open-heart surgery, in preparation for a kidney transplant. Now, after that much had work (diet, exercise, and surgery) we need your help! Please help us in attaining the next step in Doc’s endeavor toward long life and health.
Unfortunately, even with insurance, many transplant expenses are not covered. Specifically, the anti-rejection medication which is required for the acceptance and life of the new kidney. We have been told to have at least two month’s worth of funds to ensure he has the means to receive the required medication. One month’s supply is (at least) $1,500.
Donations to Help Hope Live can help ease the financial weight of the needs relating to the transplant and allow Doc to concentrate on a healthy recovery. Please help Doc to get back to living life with his daughter, family, and friends.
Timothy has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
