I was originally diagnosed with familial cardiomyopathy in 2016. I wasn’t feeling well and decided to come to University Hospital’s emergency room. It was only within a few short days I was told I had to have a heart transplant. I was told I wasn’t leaving the hospital without a new heart. My mom had a heart transplant just 5 years prior and she has been my rock through this process. Just a few short months after my transplant I was back to work and starting to get back to my normal life. Unfortunately, my heart started to fail sooner than expected. I am now two and a half years after my first transplant and waiting in the hospital for my second heart. This is bittersweet for me because I am waiting for my second chance at life, but I have to leave a piece of my life at home. I decided six months ago to foster two family members. They are four and ten years old.
While I am waiting in the hospital for transplant I need your support to manage my expenses. My mother and two foster children depend on me for financial support. During this time while I am unable to work your support means more than you could ever know. Your donations will allow me to cover expenses related to my medical care and help keep my family together.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
