Flora Needs Your Help
Family, friends, and co-workers of Flora Sumrall are raising money through the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation. Flora is scheduled for a kidney transplant in the NEXT 48 HOURS (September 11/12, 2020) of and will have several preparation appointments leading up to this life-changing experience. Flora is working with the medical team at the University of Alabama (UAB) in Birmingham, AL. The travel between her home of Quitman and Birmingham alone is just one of many aspects where we can team up to support Flora’s journey.

Hi everyone
I came home on Friday and am doing better. Although I am very tired, I am very happy. I currently have to return to UAB twice a month and my local nephrologist twice a week.

Hi everyone, thanks for all your prayers and help. I should be leaving ICU soon. They are trying to move me to a new room but I might have to go directly to a hotel because they are out of beds.
They thought that I had a stroke right after the surgery on Friday because I had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic used for the surgery. I have to tell you about how God stepped in and had the surgeon asking me to tell her about the miracle that took place in that room.
I got up and walked for the first time today. The doctors and surgeons say that I am doing so much better than they ever expected.
