Mari Stuart-Nelle is a 60-year old mother and grandmother who is very ill. She has struggled for years with a devastating diagnosis of Anti 1-Antitrypsin (AAt). AAt is an inherited gene that accelerates symptoms of asthma and/or chronic destructive lung disease. A double lung transplant is our only hope for her survival. Currently, recovering from a heart stint, we expect she will be on the transplant list within 4-6 months.
Mari is very family oriented. She has two sons and four wonderful grandchildren. She spends most of her free time with her family that she loves so much.
This disease has sidelined Mari for well over 10 years and she will have a long road ahead with recovery. Expenses associated with getting the care and therapy that will be required will be a heavy financial burden for Marilyn and her immediate family. This is why we are asking for donations from family and friends. A little bit goes a long way. Any financial help received will allow Mari to focus on recovery and spending precious time with her grandchildren John, Korbin, Vira and Layla.
