Alan was diagnosed with diabetes at the early age of 9 years old.For 23 years he has lived with the disease without complaining and has faced everyday challenges head on. in September he was given the news that he would be a great candidate for a pancreas transplant. In November, the University of Wisconsin in Madison accepted him into their program and added him to their transplant list!
Because of this we are asking friends and family to join us in raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with the critical expenses that Alan will encounter after his transplant surgery.
Alan has always been willing to help others especially the many years he was a firefighter and an EMT. Although his life is much quieter now, taking care of his two young children, his positive outlook on life is contagious. This is one of the many reasons he now needs our help.
Even though Alan has health insurance, the organ transplant expenses are not always covered. We would like to help him cover costs of his lifetime of taking anti-rejection medication to support his new pancreas as well as hospital care and other out of pocket costs.
Your donation can help Alan and his family lessen the everyday financial burden of an organ transplant and help Alan to enjoy his new chance at life with his children.
