Mili needs your help!

Milagros “Mili” Corona is a spunky and smart 4 year old girl from Enid, OK. She is currently in kindergarten at Hoover Elementary and loves playing, doing crafts, and singing! Mili was born with multiple congenital anomalies which caused Stage 4 Kidney Disease when she was a baby. Mili’s kidneys failed in November of 2017 and she has been on dialysis ever since. She is currently on hemodialysis three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, causing Mili and her family to get up at 5:30 in the morning to travel the 98 miles for her treatments at 8:00 am. Mili is well loved and cared for by her family. We all want to see her running and playing like other 4 year old instead of being tied to a dialysis machine three times a week. Even though she is tired, she still has a smile on her face and brightens up the entire dialysis unit at OU Children’s Hospital during these treatments. The only cure for her kidney disease is the gift of a kidney transplant.

Mili has health insurance but there are many incidental expenses with the transplant process that health insurance does not cover. Some expenses are: paying for lodging near the hospital locally after the transplant, lost wages for friends and family members taking off work to care for Mili, out of pocket prescription co-pays, food for her family while staying locally, and gas money to and from the transplant center. The funds raised through Help Hope Live will be vital in easing the financial burden and supporting Mili and her family during this difficult time. Please help as little or as much as you can, anything you can provide will be greatly appreciated!
