I am currently recovering from transplant surgery and now realizing the great task ahead for me. I am a father of a daughter (Maya) and a son (Clifton III). I thank my creator (God) for allowing me the opportunity to live on and continue to be part of my family. One never knows how much one wants to live until faced with the choice to decide, “Never say never.”
I have been diabetic for over twenty-five years and because of my diabetes my kidneys were affected and subsequently failed. While I have health insurance, many transplant expenses are surprisingly not covered, such as monthly anti-rejection medications that I will need to take for the rest of my life. However, the financial undertaking will be very costly and anyone who wants to make a financial contribution can do so on the website provided.
Donations to Help Hope Live in my honor can help ease the financial burden of a transplant and allow me to focus on a healthy recovery and long life ahead. Thank you in advance for all of your prayers, love, concerns, and assistance throughout the transition.
Family and friends of Clifton Marshall are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Clifton has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
