We wanted to tell you a little about Goodpasture Sydrome. Goodpasture Sydrome is a rare auto immune disease that attacks the kidneys and lungs. The disease occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly produces antibodies against collagen in the lungs and kidneys. The disease has only attacked Ashiely’s kidneys.
Ashiely was diagnosed with GPS in May 2005. She spent two weeks in the hospital and was there for her 17th birthday. During her stay in the hospital she received three blood transfusions and was on dialysis for four long months. After the treatments Ashiely was in remission, her kidneys had healed enough and she didn’t need dialysis any longer.
Sadly as she has gotten older her kidney disease has progressed and she is now thirty years old starting dialysis; all over again in October 2018. Ashiely now is in need of a kidney transplant. She does Peritoneal Dialysis every night for eight hours at home.
Let me tell you a little about Ashiely. Ashiely has always been an amazing, supportive, loving person. She is happily married for eight years and has a four year old daughter. She believes in the Lord and is an active member of her church community. She loves spending time with family and friends. Ashiely needs a kidney transplant for a longer life expectancy to be with her family and friends.
We are asking for our family, friends, and communities help to reach our $10,000 goal for medical expenses pertaining to the transplant and medicines.
Thank you for your time and your support!!
The Carr Family!!
Me and my family want to thank everyone that has donated. We really appreciate it. I found out recently that Davis is back dating my wait time for the transplant list to 2005, from when I was on dialysis before, so now I have a lot of wait time accrued. I should be getting a call soon. The lord has been good. I love you all.
