We got the call! Two short months ago Aurora was listed for a bilateral lung transplant due to declining health after two years of being diagnosed with Severe Pulmonary Hypertension. Over the past two years Aurora’s quality of life has significantly decreased due to this awful disease. She could no longer play sports, attend school, suffered from constant side effect of medications, having to use oxygen constantly and being unable to participate in many things we consider normal everyday life. Through it all she has kept her sarcastic sense of humor, been a role model of strength and positivity. She is truly my hero!
So on April 11th we got the call that a donor was a match and now things are well under way! This is the beginning of a long road ahead for Aurora but I know it will be a better life! Your help and support will help us get through this and focus on whats important to her physical and emotional recovery. I promise to keep everyone updated along the way. Thank you for your love and support!
