Marilyn only wants what most of us take for granted- to breathe without even thinking twice about it, or to be able to walk 10 feet without having to turn up her oxygen tank. At 23 years young, she was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, which developed with pulmonary arterial hypertension. These diseases have progressed to the point that only a lung transplant can help Marilyn breathe freely again!
Marilyn managed to raise three children but has not been able to work for years. Tragically, in 2019, her son was killed by gunfire, and she still has not been able to visit his gravesite. She has not been able to visit her mother. She has not been able to attend church. This is not due to Covid-19 restrictions as you might assume, this is due to Marilyn not being healthy enough to live a normal life.
Please help! Any and all donations are appreciated.
Family and friends of Marilyn Luster are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Marilyn has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
