As of April 5, 2019, his status is “on hold” until he can raise $15,000. He has battled diabetes for much of his adult life and in 2017 became an amputee. Regardless of his circumstances, he continues to do work in the community and is working toward his goal of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety. He is currently taking a break from school to focus his efforts on receiving a kidney. He follows a strict dietary regimen and undergoes dialysis treatment three times a week. He is a welder by trade but has been unable to work due to health challenges.
Let’s support “Mahli” so he can get back to his career and continue his great work within the community.
“Mahli” is a dialysis patient that quickly made friends with fellow patients and staff at his local dialysis center. In his spare time, he often visits and checks on his peers and offers encouragement to both patients and staff, he often tells everyone he is a “five star patient”. He blesses everyone he meets with his sense of humor and kindness.
A member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, he is an active participant in his culture. He leads traditional dances as the chanter, providing music and song to the dancers. He volunteers his time working with youth by teaching them songs, dances, and traditional arts and crafts. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys hunting and fishing to provide food for his family. He is a father and grandfather and enjoys spending time with his children Brenner, Marni, Minko and with his grandson ‘Ahinna.’
A monetary donation or kidney donation would help “Mahli” to live a full life. He will need assistance in paying for travel, hospital visits, and anti- rejection medication.
Feel free to contact us and share “Mahli’s” story. We need people with a compassionate heart to give their time, energy, resources and even their kidney!! “Mahli” is a Christian that believes in the power of prayer and giving back. He lives by the principle of helping those in need. Throughout all his health challenges, he has continued to serve others. “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.” Proverbs 3:27 NIV
