The heartbeat of this good man has become dangerously weak. Our dad’s heart was damaged during his battle with cancer when I was a baby and young toddler. Years of radiation and chemotherapy caused irreversible damage to his heart. Dad has enjoyed full remission for nineteen years. I’m about to have my first baby and both my husband and I both ache to have dad grow old watching our son explore this wonderful world.
Dad’s in heart failure and needs a transplant. His heart is only functioning at 10% on its own, but with the aid of a heart pump he’s stable and waiting for a donor. I want to see his physical heart beat match his emotional heart rhythm once again. He’s always had an amazing rhythm in life. From the emotional rhythm as a single father when mother passed away, to the patriotic rhythm of an Air Force Veteran and Fire Fighter, and the supportive rhythm when keeping cancer patients encouraged during their treatments.
The expenses of a heart transplant are beyond his ability to pay. My older brother and I are asking for your help in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with critical expenses. There will be years of anti-rejection medications and other expenses not covered by insurance.. Donations to Help Hope Live can ease the burden of a transplant and allow our Dad to focus on recovery and a long life with his family.
We have chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in Dad’s honor in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility to the full extent allowed by law for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button. And please consider sharing this information with others so they may donate as well.
Thank you for your support.

Hello Jeff...my heart feels anxious. So I calm myself with prayer to find the words to express my thoughts to you. I am so very thankful that we remained on the best of terms over the years. It has turned into something very unexpected...a true God given friendship. I am thankful we have be given time to make amends for the broken places within us that we so long ago left each other with. It feels good to look each other in the eye and tell one another \"All has been forgiven\". I pray for you every hour, of every day now. Our God still makes miracles happen everyday. He will bring you through this season of illness and waiting. \"He bought you to it He will bring you through it\". I am a firm believer in that statement. I love knowing you are a child of His. It gives me a sense of peace and confidence that all is well with your soul. May He shower you with the fullness of His love and blessings, my dear Jeff. May He give you many more days to live this life healthy and to continue to embrace it with all that you can . Love Always, Bonnie
