Our sister Patricia is in serious need of your help.

In September 2017, Patricia was diagnosed with End Stage Kidney Failure. Since her diagnosis, Patricia has been on peritoneal dialysis (PD) at home. Every night she is connected to a machine called a cycler until the morning. A kidney transplant from a living donor would be a better treatment for her condition. We are asking our family and friends to help Patricia with the extensive uncovered expenses she will face by joining us in fundraising for the nonprofit organization Help Hope Live.

Patricia has always been a caring, considerate person who is willing to help others when she can. When she was able to work, she had a strong, conscientious, and reliable work ethic. Although Patricia has had to deal with numerous changes in her lifestyle, she has not lost her positive attitude. Since her PD is at night, Patricia can still do some of the things she once did. However, the process of PD does affect her sleep habits, and her numerous doctor appointments take up a lot of her days. She never complains; she faces each moment one-at-a-time in expectation of better days to come. We, her sisters, are encouraged by Patricia’s example daily.
