Friday, September 17, 2021, golf to remember a great man!

Joe Sr was an amazing husband, father, Pop-Pop, and friend. His main goal in life was to make others happy. Whether it was through an act of kindness, a “funny” joke, or helping customers at his store Puns Toys (originally of Bryn Mawr), Joe wanted to see you smile.

At a young age, Joe was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, which led to him battling many other conditions throughout his life—but he never gave up hope. At age 50, Joe was blessed to receive a kidney-pancreas transplant from an organ donor. Ten years later, Joe was in need of a second kidney transplant when his son Joe Jr selflessly stepped up to donate a kidney to his dad. Their bond continued through their involvement as volunteers with the nonprofit Help Hope Live, a national charity that helps place lifesaving transplants within reach of thousands of families each year by supporting community-based fundraising campaigns to help cover the cost of unmet medical expenses.
