Alice has been married for 31 years to the love of her life Keith and has two beautiful children. Alice has been your true work stay at home mom, from raising the kids to taking care of the house. Alice has taken care of both family and friends her whole life. She is the constant giver, never taking time for herself and now she needs our help.
Unfortunately, her battle with Type 2 Diabetes has resulted in cirrhosrs of the liver. In January we had our first scariest episode, elevated ammonia levels in the blood, similar to a stroke, the ammonia levels affect mental and motor skills. That left her in the hospital for a week, 7 days later back to the ER, elevated CK levels in the muscles due to dehydration.
The hardest thing has been the sudden change, until that day in January Alice was 100% active, now she is left fatigued and her memory goes in and out. We will make endless amounts of trips to the hospital throughout the year with doctor visits and constant testing, leaving medical bills to soon pile up. Alice has remained positive despite her chronic health condition and is trying to get back to her everyday lifestyle, some days are better then others.
As we begin the long process for getting the liver transplant, we hope that some may show us some kindness and will consider a donation. While Alice does have health insurance, many transplant expenses are surprisingly not covered. As a family we are learning more about this deadly disease as each day turns, it is not easy, but we are trying to stay strong for Alice.
We will have several uncovered medications that she will need to take for the rest of her life, while having basic insurance, the out of pocket expense will be a strain. As a family we are just simply trying to do our best! We are not too proud to ask for help. If there is any chance you can donate, our family would greatly appreciate it.
“we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give u.”
We are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live in Alice’s honor, to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
We chose to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button. And please consider sharing this link with others so they may donate as well.

Thank you for your support!
I suggest both of you who contributed report this as fraud to your banks. This has got to be a scam I was contacted once and the person said they would follow up to assist me and send me form to get the donated money dispersed. Never happened. Anyone thinking of using this company think again.
UPDATE: Alice has gotten through the hardest part. She has recieved a Liver through the gracious donation of an individual who chose to be an organ donor upon death. We wish to thank the donor and offer sympathy to the donors family. We are still adjusting the immune suppression drug dosage but no signs of rejection. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes.
NEW CHALLENGES: Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, I say this on behalf of all the families that have had a recent transplant that requires immune suppression medication. We cannot get the supplies needed to keep our living area disinfected. We can no longer walk into a store and get Lysol spray, Disinfectant wipes and other day to day items. New transplant recipients like ourselves had some supply but never anticipated people would hoard so much. These items are something all transplant patients need access to for the rest of their lives. The smallest virus or infection can cause major illness in compromised immune systems. I have approached various big box stores and drugstore chain managers and can get no relief. PLEASE KEEP TRANSPLANT RECIPIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.
