James has been on dialysis since 2013, and is now in need of a kidney transplant. He goes to dialysis 3 times a week, which leaves him drained and tired. This has caused him to leave his job. He is 45 years old.
He went to culinary school and only recently started baking homemade desserts to sell to the community to help fundraise to cover medical expenses related to his kidney transplant. With Medicare as his only insurance, he will be responsible for many expenses due to transplant. This includes anti-rejection medication not covered, which he will have to be on for the rest of his life.
Family and friends of James Claybrooks are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
James has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
