I have had kidney infections since around 11 years old. At age 26, after a biopsy of my kidney, I was diagnosed with CKD. I have been sick most of my life. I am now in end stage renal failure and I need a transplant in order to continue living. I could never have imagined being this sick or this weak. The smallest things wear me out. If you know me, you know this must be difficult for me.. I love to stay busy and I am a driven person however, with the fluid surrounding my heart and filling my body causing uncontrollable weight gain, it has become almost impossible. My body is full of toxins which make my hair break and brittle and my skin have acne and unusual marks. I have a terrible time thinking , remembering, or accomplishing tasks. This Last year has been very tough physically, mentally and financially. The end is near, however, stress is still present.. My husband and best friend is donating his Kidney to me. My husband has been there through everything and has never left my side. He is a man that had an excellent work history without tardiness or absences until my hospitalizations and worsen illnesses. My husband is the sole breadwinner. I have had a stretch of illnesses since December 26th 2019 till present which has forced my husband to loose work. We are also trying to prepare for my husband's kidney donation and my transplant. We are going to have to prepare our home due to it's set up , pay for out of pocket costs, prescriptions, travel expenses and bills, and food while my husband is off work . Any help no matter how big or small will help! I/ we thank you in advance for helping to chase away the stress through this journey!
