Leonida Peña, our young 58-year-old mother and her grandchildren’s “Tita”, has just received a double lung transplant. The financial expenses for our family have started and are quickly adding up. We are asking for your help.

She has never smoked a day in her life and has just received her desperately needed transplant to live. Her transplant was performed by the renowned University of Florida Shands Transplant Center in Gainesville, FL

It has been 7 days since Lee received her lungs and she is doing fantastic! All 4 lung drain tubes have been removed, along with her feeding tube. She is starting to eat soft foods and walked 50 feet all by herself!

We thank you for your support! If there was ever a time to donate, now is that time. She will be out of the hospital soon. The out of pocket expenses have already started for her family and caretakers.
