Dear Family and Friends,
Our sister, Janet Harvey has been a resident of Tahlequah, Oklahoma for 23 years. Janet attended classes at Northeastern State University and worked several part-time jobs while earning her degree. In 2005, she received a Bachelor of Science degree. However, due to poor health, she was soon forced to stop working.
In August 2010, Janet was diagnosed with liver cancer. She was fortunate to have been placed on the transplant waiting list approximately one month ago. A liver transplant is now her only chance for survival.
Janet has come to realize that funding this surgery is a monumental task. There are so many uninsured transplant-related expenses such as transportation to and from the center, housing for Janet and her caregiver during transplantation and the enormous expense of co-pays for the immunosuppressant medications she will need to take for the rest of her new liver’s life. In order to meet these costs, a fundraising campaign in Janet’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive. HelpHOPELive is a nonprofit organization that has been helping the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All contributions are tax-deductible and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. If you wish to help Janet, please give a tax-deductible contribution:
