Leroy was suddenly diagnosed with Stage 3 liver cancer last year at the age of 55. His wife has had to miss a lot of work to care for him and travel to multiple out of state hospitals for treatment.
Leroy has always been the type to give anyone the shirt off his back to help. He has never asked for much help but at this moment in his life, he is in desperate need. Aside from insurance and family savings, he still has expenses for medications, travel for treatment, lodging during treatment, co-pays, and in home care that exceeds his financial means.
Any donations made will help alleviate the financial burden and allow his family to spend more time with him and allow Leroy to focus on recovery. He wants to receive a transplant so he can see his 2 daughters getting married, his granddaughter grow up, and to grow old with his wife.
Family and friends of Leroy Sommerlott are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Leroy has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
