Keith has been struggling with liver disease for several years now, but found out earlier this year that his battle has reached a critical point. He has been diagnosed with liver failure and needs a transplant to survive.
Keith grew up in Alvin, Texas and graduated from Alvin High School. He currently resides with his wife Deborah, in Georgetown, TX. He has 5 children and currently has 4 grandchildren, who he desperately wants to see grow up. Keith enjoys spending time outdoors, especially a good game of horseshoes or a trip down to the San Gabriel river with his dog, Lady. He also has a love for music and has even been known to strum a tune or two on the old guitar. Keith has done everything that his doctors have asked of him and his will to overcome this is inspiring. Together, Keith and his family are committed to seeing him through this transplant.
Transplants are lifesaving but financially draining. Even with insurance, there are several critical expenses that are not covered including the cost of lodging near the transplant center where he is required to stay for a minimum of 30 days following his discharge, post-transplant. Other expenses include anti-rejection medications, co-pays, lab fees and more.
Family and friends of Keith are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Keith has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
