Yes, Melissa received her liver transplant and we are so incredibly grateful and happy that she is now on the road to recovery. BUT, she still needs your help and support. Today be the person who offers hope, health and love.
Melissa is my loving wife, friend, and mother of rescue dogs who enjoys helping her community. A hard worker, never stopping despite her debilitating health. She never gave up despite the pain, stress, and sadness surrounding her circumstances. Melissa can be any one of us and her story is one of resilience and hope.
Now with the transplant completed it is all about sustaining the health of that new organ. First, she will need constant visits to the hospital to check on the viability of the new liver. The doctors will also check that her anti- rejection drugs are working and that she is not rejecting her new organ.
She still has a transplant team that will continue to work with her so that she can be a successful transplantee.
We still need your support and please know that your donation will be appreciated and used responsibly, .
We hope that whoever reads this, can relate to this hardship. We are asking for donations at this time. Any donation will help so much post transplant. Recuperation, rehabilitation, home health care and the big one life saving anti-rejection medication that she will need to take for the rest of her life.
Many of us can relate to medical struggles, we often suffer in silence because of them. We are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
We choose to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live provides both tax-deductibility to the full extent allowed by law and fiscal accountability to her contributors. Contributors can be sure that funds contributed will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses.

P.S. Don’t forget to sign the guest book while you’re here.
