Shane’s entire life’s battle with his heart condition has come to a critical point. Our son (and the “Father” of our sweet grandbaby, Ocean) is now in heart failure and needs a transplant to survive.
Shane was born with Hypoplastic left ventricle (no functioning left ventricle). Shane has survived three open heart surgeries, (two days old, 6 months old and five years old) thanks to Dr. Hanley of Stanford Medical Center. Shane’s whole life he has had to battle his heart condition.
We are asking family and friends to join us in fundraising in cooperation with the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with the critical expenses Shane and his fiancé will face immediately after his surgery, including the cost of lodging near the transplant center where he is required to stay for a minimum of 90 days following his discharge.
Shane has lived a positive and productive life despite his chronic health condition. He has never let health challenges get in the way of his love for leading as normal a life as possible with his condition. His biggest passion is playing drums, and he rocks! He is engaged to be married and is a full-time dad raising his daughter Ocean.
While Shane has health insurance, many transplant expenses are surprisingly not covered, such as the monthly anti-rejection medications she needs to take for the life of his new heart. Shane has been told to anticipate upwards of $100,000 in expenses that will not be covered by his insurance.
Donations to Help Hope Live can help ease the financial burden of a transplant and allow Shane to focus on a healthy recovery and a long life ahead with Ocean and his fiancé Chantel.
Thank you for your support!

Aloha! I know you don’t know me but I’am your sister Suzy’s sister in-law, Cierra. I know $20 is not much however I still want to make sure I do my part, and contribute. Suzy is ohana, so that means you’re ohana too.
