Jamel Valentine has always been a hard working man, trying to provide for his two year old daughter.

On August 21, 2019 while out driving to the store, Jamel was shot by someone that pulled up next to him while at the traffic light. He immediately lose control and crash his car into a gate; totaling his car. The bullet entered his spine causing him to become paralyzed from the waist down. This senseless act of violence turned a 22 year old courageous, independent young man, to becoming dependent for the smallest things such as needing help to take a shower. With a low chance of walking again, Jamel is hopeful going into his first stages of recovery with Physical therapy. He would like to drive again but will need accessible transportation. He will also need home health care and so much more on this new lifestyle that Jamel is adjusting to with the help of his family. Please consider donating for the road to recovery for Jamel.
