Shawn’s life long battle with congenital heart disease has reached a critical juncture. He requires a heart and double lung transplant to extend his life and improve his quality of living.
Shawn is 52 years old and has spent his life finding ways to help others. Whether it is in his legal career dedicated to public service, teaching English as a second language, volunteering in local homeless shelters, or serving on the board of a halfway house, Shawn has never let his heart disease get in his way.
While Shawn has health insurance, many necessary expenses are not covered. He and his wife will need to support themselves in Omaha during treatment and also to cover the costly anti-rejection medications. Donations to Help Hope Live can ease the financial burden on Shawn’s family and allow him to focus on his recovery.
Family and friends of Shawn Farritor are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Shawn has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
