THE PICKERINGS NEED YOUR HELP!!

As some of you know, my husband Ryan received the gift of life back in 2013 due to someone very special saying yes! The last 6+ years have been nothing short of amazing and we are forever grateful. Unfortunately, due to complications, Ryan now needs a second lung transplant to survive. We’re asking family and friends to join our family in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to assist our family with all of the critical expenses that come along with transplant, including care before and after surgery.

We have officially been listed for a left single lung transplant! Thank you all so much for the donations, support, words of encouragement, and prayers! I know how crazy the holiday season is for everyone yet you still showed love and generosity. Much love from our family to yours! Stay tuned for the next update. Update 12/9

So, we got some positive news this evening that our fundraising goal is less than originally anticipated because of some insurance adjustments (new calendar year) and rearranging caregiver assignments. Why is this a positive? It makes our fundraising goal much more attainable and allows a huge relief of stress to us all as we have a more realistic goal that I know we can meet. I can't thank you all enough! It truly means the world to us that you can give even in the most hectic and expensive holiday season. We love each and every one of you and appreciate your generosity. We will keep the updates coming as the journey continues!

Though it's a shame to have to fundraise to live...there are no options...please help this amazing father, husband, son, and friend.
