Dear Family and Friends:
This letter is to tell you about my sister, Enedina Hernandez and her tremendous struggle to survive.
Some of you know Enedina from her job as a personal assistant at Los Lupes Restaurants. Others of you know her because you grew up with her husband Gilbert, and you got to know her as they dated and married. Or maybe you’ve met her while cheering on the sidelines at one of her sons’ football games or wrestling matches.
Enedina is an amazing sister, wife, mother and friend and now she needs your help. Five years ago she was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and doctors have informed her that her only chance for survival and a cure is a liver transplant.
Due to the seriousness of her medical condition, Enedina is now up against a challenge she cannot meet alone. She needs support from each one of us.
Not only is this transplant a major surgical procedure, but it is very expensive and insurance will not cover all the costs. As our friend and family, you can offer your help and prayers during this time. You can also help financially. A fundraising campaign in Enedina’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Central Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered for transplant-related expenses only. For those who are able and would like to contribute:With sincere gratitude,
Dolores Vasquez Singleton (Enedina’s sister)
