Willie Steele had received a double lung transplant in 2018 and recently has been diagnosed with diabetes. He is now in need of fundraising to offset expenses for doctor visits and deductibles not covered by insurance.
Willie is very outgoing and never meets a stranger. Originally from DC, but a longtime resident of North Carolina, he has met many friends over the years. He always keeps contact with as many as possible.
Family and friends of Willie Steele are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation. Donations will help pay for deductibles and co-pays not covered and travel to Chapel Hill. He has anti-rejection medicine that is not fully covered.
Willie has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
