Keli Thorn has had Polycystic Kidney Disease for about 10 years and it has now reached Stage 4 and she is now in need of a kidney!

Keli is a hard working mother of 4 kids ages ranging from 21, 20, 13 and 11. She works her behind off day in and day out to support her family and is an AVID supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness as she lost her mother and almost lost her sister to Breast Cancer. In June of 2019 her husband, Aaron Thorn suffered five strokes which left him with vision issues which lead him out of work. Now as Keli is the main supporter of the family her kidney’s have been through more stress which causes her to feel tired, sick and just not feeling great. As a hard working mother of 4 kids it is hard for Keli to get out and do things with her children and family when she is always feelings sick. She has been referred to a Donor Transplant Coordinator (Jessica Ratcliff, BSN, RN) and is now in the process of getting on the donor list. Her family is prepared for the long haul that the process is of finding a donor. But we need your help! We need help to find a donor and also spread the word that Keli is in need of a kidney!

I saw Keli Thorn’s story on WCPO9, and with all that is going on with COVID, I decided to use part of my inheritance to pay her insurance deductible, so I know the money will make a big difference in a family’s life.

I’m so pleased to hear you have a transplant date, and it’s Ground Hog’s Day! I’m sure that prognosticator Phil will predict a long and happy life for Kelli. We are praying for all to go smoothly. Remember Jeremiah 29:11. God bless you.
