I was told I would be lucky to go 15 years without going on dialysis…

Hello, my name is Pamela (Pam) Kitter. I have had FSGS which is a kidney disease I have had for almost 38 years. When I was first diagnosed, I was told I would be lucky to go 15 years without going on dialysis. But, through good nutrition, exercise, and some great doctors, I have made it to this point where I am now in need of a transplant. I am teaming up with Help Hope Live to raise funds to cover expenses not covered by insurance such as co-pays, lodging, and transportation costs. I will need to stay in Phoenix for at least 6 weeks after my transplant.

I find asking for help a hard thing to do, because I am used to being the one to help others. I make blankets, quilts, and hats, which are donated to different organizations. I am very blessed to have family and friends who are being tested to see if they are a kidney match. Along with their generosity comes expenses that will not be covered by insurance such as travel and lodging.
